Recently, the comprehensive treatment works of Daqing River in Leting county, won the "2024 New Tang Cup Project Award ", the municipal high quality project award of Tangshan city in China’s Hebei province.

Since the beginning of the works, every effort has been made by the project team to create a high-quality project. It has focused on improving quality and efficiency, combining quality management with innovative measures to strengthen the construction quality of bridge pile foundation steel cage connection. Through research and innovation, a class-I QC achievement in the water conservancy industry has been summarized, effectively reducing construction costs while improving quality. 

As an key tributary of the Luan River in Leting county, the Daqing River has a total length of 55.5 km and a confluence area of 115.6 square km. The comprehensive treatment works of Daqing River includes construction of new rubber dams, and demolition/reconstruction of old bridges with narrow decks and severe structural damage. The works has effectively improved the flood carrying capacity of the river by regulating the upstream water supply, thus increasing the utilization of surface water resources, improving irrigation and local ecological environment, and enhanced the convenience and safety of travel for surrounding villages and residents.
