On September 20, China CCTV News Channel featured a special report on the company's X001-1 Fenghuangjing Pump Station Works of the Yangtze-Huaihe Water Diversion Project in its column "Striving China: Our' 14th Five-Year Plan '" —— "Anhui's Intelligent Manufacturing Connecting Rivers and Seas; the Century Canal Nourishing Jianghuai". The report highlighted that the Yangtze-Huaihe Water Diversion Project is a century-spanning initiative integrating development, ecology, and livelihood. This "super canal" has achieved a historic "handshake" between the Yangtze River and Huaihe River, not only significantly enhancing regional shipping efficiency but also playing a crucial role during drought periods by providing vital water resources for millions of acres of farmland in Anhui and Henan provinces. As the final node of the Phase I works of the project, the Fenghuangjing Pump Station serves the task of pumping Yangtze water northward through the Xizhao River. In July this year, to address severe drought conditions, the pump station was put into operation ahead of schedule, urgently transferring water to northern Anhui province, with its strategic value already beginning to manifest. The pump station, one of the eight major hubs in the water diversion project, also represents the most technically challenging construction task, which started as the latest of all works. The operation of this pump station marks the substantial completion of the whole Phase I works. During construction, the project team has proactively tackled challenges including river closure and dewatering issues caused by deep silty geological layers, while operating under complex conditions such as limited site space, tight schedules, and safety risks associated with renovating aging facilities. Not only did they efficiently achieve all milestones, but they also realized the engineering function of "dual-line Yangtze water diversion" ahead of schedule. The successful commissioning of the works garnered extensive media coverage from China's central government websites, CCTV News, People's Daily Online, and other media.
