On the morning of Jan. 15, the generating unit No. 2 of Port Qasim 2×660MW Power Plant was commissioned in Pakistan.

As the first large thermal plant launched under the so called China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, it will play an important role in the development of local economy by satisfying the power demand of 4 million families. 

STECOL has participated in civil works construction of the coal delivery system, seawater system, coal storage system, flyash yard, flue gas desulfuration (FGD), administration building, etc. featured by high quantities of works, high technical demand, and a tight work schedule. In spite of all the challenges, the project team completed all the works in good time.
