From July 22 to 24, the semi-finals and finals of the Fifth Construction Enterprise Technology Innovation Competition (offline) were held in Dalian city, north-east China’s Liaoning province.  Co-organized by China Association of Construction Enterprise Management (CACEM) and the company, the event saw Guo Yanming, president of the company, deliver a speech.

As the largest, highest-level, and most comprehensive technology innovation platform in China's construction industry, the competition results are widely regarded as a key indicator of corporate technological capabilities. The event of this year introduced new categories including AI innovation applications and urban renewal construction technology competitions, forming a "unit competitions + specialized events" framework alongside previous micro-innovation and construction method contests to continuously guide industry innovation.

Guo emphasized that the competition vividly demonstrated the industry's dynamic innovation momentum. Teams nationwide showcased cutting-edge technological practices under the theme "Technology Empowers, Innovation Drives," addressing critical challenges in construction field. From green building solutions to smart construction technologies, from digital management systems to low-carbon applications, these projects not only highlight industry breakthroughs but also reflect the enterprising spirit of modern construction professionals. These achievements represent both industry wisdom and concrete practices driving high-quality development in China's construction sector.

A total of 301 entries advanced to the semi-finals and finals, representing over 300 enterprises and research institutes across the country. The competition featured intense presentations and 27 industry experts serving as judges. The competition awarded 10 Grand Prizes, 205 First Prizes, and 35 Second Prizes. The company's "Application of High-Energy Cosmic Ray Detection Technology in Shield Tunnel Construction" won a First Prize.

This event established a comprehensive platform for industry-wide exchange, promotion, and commercialization of technological innovations, accelerating the implementation of high-quality scientific achievements. It enhanced corporate innovation capabilities, unleashed new momentum for industrial innovation, and fostered a robust ecosystem for technological advancement. The successful conference received high praise from industry leaders, experts, and participants, significantly boosting its influence.

As an organizer of the event, the company focus on key sectors including water supply, energy, urban development, and digital technologies. Highlighting its expertise in municipal water management, it pioneers industry models like "Municipal + Green Electricity" and "Municipal + Water Ecology," while strengthening its overseas water supply business. Currently boasting three high-tech enterprises and one Tianjin Municipal Key Laboratory for Road & Bridge Engineering Materials, the company has earned 145 Science and Technology Progress Awards and 895 national patents, including 87 invention patents, 5 national-level construction methods, and 353 provincial/ministerial-level methodologies. Moving forward, it will intensify efforts in technological innovation, collaborative R&D, and knowledge-sharing to further enhance its research capabilities and value creation.
